Hey all:

Just completed first oil change at 356 miles last night, and before I began I checked to see if the oil pressure warning light came on with the key on and the stop switch on (sled not running) as the OM says it should. It did not. I went ahead and changed the oil and filter and followed the "turn key on with stop switch on (sled not running)" to check if oil pressure light was on. It was not. Started sled and oil pressure warning light came on for a second, and then went out (as it should with sensing pressure). Everything appears to be good except that the oil pressure light does not come on with the key on and the run switch on (with sled not running) and the OM says that if the light doesn't come on with those conditions, take sled to dealer.

What are everyone else 2015's doing. Is the warning light coming on with the key on and run switch on before starting the sled as the OM indicates?

Manual is wrong. Light will just go on for a second or two then go off.

Thanks Cannondale.

That's what I was thinking cause I never saw it one from day one, but wanted to post just in case.;)!

Same thing on mine; model year 2014.

Did the Arctic Cat ECM programmer also write the owners manual?

No but from what I understand it was a rush and a legal nightmare so mistakes were made. I met the guy who wrote Manuals. Very sharp nice guy. Lets try to give him a break.

Ya same thing happened to me i called my dealer and he didn't get it either he had to read it himself then he just told me to run it and it has been fine ever since. like they said it must have been a typo.

Just did my oil change today and had same experience , no light with key on, light on when cranking then went out and stayed out. 15 S-TX-DX.

A break he shall have -- I was just trying to impart some humor.

Yeah ,same here ,when if called my dealer he was baffled as well, said as long as you have the oil in the tank and there is no oil light on you should be good, that was 200 miles ago so I guess it's ok.i don't know about you guys, but for me every time I ride or work on the Viper ,and something seems weird or changes from what I am used to I get CAT PARANOID,meaning ,I start thinking this is where the AC built part of the sled will let me Down or fail.i am just overly sensitive to the issue.trouble free miles will help eliminate my fears, lol
