Has anyone had there oil tank leak from the bottom(looks like where the elbow mounts to the tank)?
I just got back from a ride that i had to cut short because of mine leaking!
Does anyone know if someone makes an aftermarket tank?

The hard part of all these hard welds, is it will crack further out...
It is being caused by laying the sled over...either side hilling, donuts or rolling it...
So, it needs some sort of bracket on it to protect it...
fortunately for me, I caught mine at the end of a day....
here are the pics

Good eye on that one, I agree with you no matter how good the weld is its still thin material. Mine actually broke around the weld for the upper bracket. Obviously as stated the more surface area your welded to (gussets) the better. I just went with sledhead's because I know how thin the tanks are and I never want to deal with it.

I'm going to replace mine this summer so i don't have to deal with it again, when i took the tank off i couldn't believe how light it is... its like an empty pepsi can!
where does sledhead sell his tank?
I've asked around town , and everyone with a nytro has had the same problem. they all welded it and haven't had any more issues.... yet. One guy even used emetal to fix his.
