ok whats the real deal with aftermarket exhausts?

I put on a Hauck system on my FX and it is incredible, sounds great and yanks harder. I may be pulling the pipe due to the NYS dB law (Hauck is 83dB...78dB is NYS law). It's not loud in the sense of what many consider when they think of a sled with a can.

If you sell that exhaust let me know!!

Hauck GHT-R-Done Kit, 96 Woodys
vs.
Complete Stocker
Both FX's

Several runs, switching drivers and conditions. Loose snow, hard pack and rolling starts.
Not scientific data, but we tried to be accurate as possible.
Never less than five lengths and usually around seven to eight. Once again this was with two drivers switching sleds and many different starts. Probably a total of around twenty five races.
A little side note. Thanks to the highway patrol. They do and awesome job at helping people and keeping our roads safe. Oh yeah and they can be useful with their radar guns. Especially when they are stuck in the ditch anyways waiting for a tow! :tg: :tg:

Top speeds seen on the stocker in the ditch by radar was eighty four and the ght-r-done was ninety two miles and hours. Ditch was mostly hard pack. This was our conclusion, maybe others have found differently. I believe if you have the extra cash laying around and you plan on keeping your Phazers then it is a worthwhile investment.

Got some diffusers coming to drop the dB's from Hauck. If it doesn't work out, your second inline. Should know by the end of the week...

Yes. stocker was without studs during original testing.
Now today stocker has same studs and pattern. Didnt seem to make much of a difference. I mean it did obviously make a difference but not as much as we would of thought. Still smallest was four lengths mostly was around six or more!
Stocker is not going to be stocker much longer! Nobody wants to ride that one! lol :whine: :whine:

A little update, Hauck Git-R-Done kit at idle from 50' on the A scale...82dB.

First trail 6 SuperTrapp diffusers per pipe @ 50' = 62dB
Second trial 9 SuperTrapp diffusers per pipe @ 50' = 66dB
Third trial 12 SuperTrapp diffusers per pipe @ 50' = 70dB

Probably could add a few more disc and push it to the 73 dB, ran out of disc. Have to check with Hauck on Monday regarding the fuel accelerator, will have to retard it a tad due to the exhaust constriction.

Still sounds good...
