Are the Nytro speedometers that accurate (+ 3.5%) ? Most Apex / Attak speedo's are off by about + 11%.

Just curious, can anyone confirm the Nytro speedo accuracy? Is it really that much better than the Apex / Attak?

I wish I was riding this morning! Here in the Minneapolis, MN area all the snow is melted, the lakes are most all open, and we are expecting upper 50's F. the rest of the week. I have already golfed several rounds this spring!
It makes me wonder how Yamaha can get the Nytro Speedo to within about 4% when the Apex / Attak is always about 12% optimistic. On my Apex it is truly a "dream meter".
The strange thing about the Apex is that the error is only in the speedo, the odometer is accurate. That tells me that Yamaha built the error into the speedo on purpose to make the Apex & Attak's seem faster than they really are.

Blue, There was someone on here that posted that Yamaha changed the Apex speedos for 09, since they reported a run of 104 mph on the speedo and the GPS said 102. I believe it was "Rash". So, they have in fact changed the accuracy of the speedo.

Darenello, How much RPM were you running here.. This is important, because if it was less than 9100, then you can probbaly pick up a couple of mph by spinning it up to 9350, but you will need the ignition/PCIII to do it.
