az99 said:I consistently get 20+ MPG with mine but that is riding Quebec well groomed trails at 50-60 MPH for hours . When I ride regular trails with stopping to cross roads, tighter trails and more lake wide open runs mid teens is sure more realistic.Groomerdriver said:Can't believe everything you read on the internet!!! I'd like to ride with some of the people who say they get 20+ mpg consistently. If you're heavy on the throttle like I am, you're pretty much right on mpg wise IMO.
There ya go. Think of it as the difference between City MPG and Highway MPG. Also I don't know ANY vehicles that get their best MPG at WOT.

Thank for everyone for the help so far. I was out riding and got 18 mpg then next time out I got 13 mpg. I have had the clutches rebuilt had the carbs check at 2 different dealers 1 a Yamaha dealer and other a bike shop. It seems to get better mpg the faster I drive it, and if I go 50 klms 0r 30 mph the mph goes down. It seems to crank over longer to start when cold and after the temp light goes out on a cold start up if you touch the throttle the engine stalls, have to what till it is right up you temp and the idle seems to fluctuate when warm.
What should I have checked in the carbs as the other people seem to have missed the problem The choke seems to release all the way please help!!!

I think mine was replaced under warranty when new for part of the TORS repair but it wasn't the culprit. TPS should give a trouble code if bad. (15 or 16 I think depending on condition)
