I am about to Change my Front end Due to Damage But I have not Decided on weather to go Wider 41 or 42 inch over the Stock 39 inch.
my delema is that A Narrow Stance typically Works better Boondocking on most sleds I have ridden before My RX1.
A narrow stance I had found Easier to get to Counter steer needed to sidehill easily But the downside is its is Really Tippy and the RX1 is the Tippiest performance Sled I ever rode. on shallow LONG traverces a Wide Stance should help keep the sled from tryiing to dive down hill or just rolling over but then the downside is it is Harder to get the sled to Counter steer on steeper sidehills or make SHORT Shithooks to turn around in Tight Spaces.
perhaps those hom have had ridden Both stances for some serious millage can offer some insite on there preference.
I Plan to use Wider Longer CA pro skies which float pretty good but also are not typically the easiest skies to get to Counter steer.

I find it easier to throw my Vector Mtn around with the narrow stance. I put it to the narrowest setting this weekend and think it sidehills easier. Don't have a lot of miles on it that way though.

Why not go middle of the road and then get those new stock mountain skis. They can be adjusted about an inch either way. Maybe you can get a bit of both?

I like my 41 " A arms .......Much more stable all around , You can acyually sit down most of the time instead of doing acrobatic tricks while riding normally.

I prefer the 41" stance (and Simmons) . It's MUCH more stable coming down the big hills, thru the graves etc.....

The stock stance with the new 05 skis seems to be the best all around set up,it is also the only one that alows you some adjustability.
Has anyone put the vector front end on the Rx1 ?
I build a similar setup for my RX1 works great. Verry stable without the swaybar.

I guess it depends on how you ride. I know last year while boondocking, I would not have made it with the 41" stance. There were some pretty tight places. But if you like to ride trail or climb big hills the 41" would be fine. I would think the only place the wider stance will get you into trouble is boondocking in the tight stuff and possibly sidehilling.

In soft snow i prefer the 37 1/2 with the 05 ski(dont even think of it with the 04 ski, must burn the cell that made me think of this stance :drink: ) nad in hard snow, 39 1/2 seem good, anyway the sled wont go on side while riding.

What he said.....

One more time???

I`m going to the light weight 41 inch .At 250 I can throw this sled around and when in the hills I can just undo the one side or sway bar if I feel I need too.

Where were you riding and what did you hit ?If you don`t mind me asking that is.

Still no turbo snowmotion? Bender didn`t come through for ya.

running the 41 holz front end I think I am going to try the narrow stance anybody looking for a 41 holz front end 600 miles on it no damage.
