Does anyone know for sure they can connect right to the jumper cable connections on an Attak with the battery still in the machine using the Optimate. Any help is appreciated.

Matt
;)!

Matt, that is what I did with my vector, had no problems at all. Just used allagator clips to jumper cables. Optimate is a great charger! :rocks:

As I'm new to having a battery in a sled why do you have to charge it???Doesn't the battery charge while the machine is running???

Optimate Charger wire connector location

For those of you with the Optimate charger, do you just connect to the pos. & neg. cables or have you installed the wire with the connector supplied with the charger? Is it long enough to have it in a convenient place w/o having to remove any body panels?

I hooked up the connectors that come with the charger. They are long enough that they come out right beside the jumper ends. I just taped the connector end to the jumpers.

My dealer went as far as installing the extra leads for the charger. I now have 4 leads to connect to.

My dealer installs that white plug also when he does set-up on each and every sled. Makes it so easy to connect the optimate.

like he says, gotta take the hood off.

But I am going to do the ultimate set-up like I did on my 05
install one of these on the sled and wire it in

and put one of these on my optimate

Powerlet outlet!

Yeah, that would work Tork. I've had good luck with their products. Thanks for the idea. I was thinking just to get the connection down, say by the foot well to alleviate removing the side panel.
