Just back from pre season check and found 4 out of 6 suspension idler bearings shot. Sled has 3800 miles, looking for aftermarket (slightly larger 135mm od wheels).
Are the new Yamaha spoked wheels any better? I know they now have removable bearings and are the same size as stock.
Also has anyone tried moving the rear inside idlers to the outside of the rails with any benefits?
Have purchased Fix powersports wheel kits but I can't speak to highly of their wheels or bearings both wheels were crap after only 1800 miles and now they won't warrnety their product or refuse to get back to me on this!

I have been running the Yami spoked wheels on several sleds for many miles with no problems I have one set with over 10,000 on them.
I put a bender reaction suspension in my 03 which required moving the inner wheels out because the control rod would not clear and never had any problems. Thats the skid with 10K on it. I would not know why you would want to increase diameter on the idlers.

I had all the '06 small wheels fail last year including the tunnel ones. Switched to the spoked ones and put about another 4000 kms on those. They still look good enough that I just bought the three rear ones in anticipating that they will also fail this year. Having said that, it was the rubber that delaminated on all but 1 and not a bearing failure. The tunnel wheels were bearing failures.

Yes you can move them to the outside rear if you have a bracket to mount them with,i had several older polaris ones kicking around, and as long as the wheel uses the 6005 bearing, just have to have the bushings from poo to make it work.renegademan17 said:Just back from pre season check and found 4 out of 6 suspension idler bearings shot. Ended up ordering Yami spoked style wheels (all 6) instead of Slydog, like the slydog but found Yami's to be less than half of the price of the Slydogs. Found the Yami wheels for $18.36 apiece @ Babbit's online, ordered there before for ATV parts and thet are always cheaper than local dealer!
