Anyway, like 99.9% of the guys here, just glad to see you are ok. It could have been your widow posting a much different story. I always thought that when I am going up the trail to the cabin in the mountains, I should have a sticker on the inside of my goggles, "slow down dickhead!" the cabin will be there if I am 10 more minutes getting to it. I too lost my sled this year I rolled at a 101 mph I was sucking up my buddies new 800 rev when I saw his brake lights tried to avoid and started to roll the sled was a complete lost I hope your insurance was better than mine I lost 3000 dollars on the deal and now unable to replace it They said it was only 5000 dollars loan value fought tooth and nail even hired an attoney I still lost and now I have an attoney bill Just remember guys take a good look at your insurance I am now making payments on a sled I dont have

Changing from Black to Blue!!! you'll lose about 20 MPH, Everyone knows Black RX-1s are the fastest :lol:

Glad your okay Welteracer! Next time be more careful Eh!?!?. My brother did a similiar thing, driving too fast for the conditions. He just bought a 500 XCSP polaris with a long track kit on it and a rock jumped in front of him. Had to replace the whole front suspension system on one side. But he was okay and will ride again.

I hit the eject button my my RX last year at about 85 on a lake-OUCH. Thanksfully I have planty of padding to soften the blow. Glad you're OK, thankfully they make more of these junks everyday.

Very glad you are ok...sounds like most RX wrecks, the sled gets the worst end..maybe they kind of reach out and protect the rider...you know, sacrifice themselves....
What insurance? Best I found was $1600 for both RX's. Cost me $1800 to fix the engine last year after sumpbusting it, so I'm about even. I'd just have to rebuild whatever is left myself, and with dealerbuds help..but the best thing is try to avoid the big one.
I spent a day calling every sled ins. company I could find on the web, and a few would have been less, but I would have to put my cars with them...and no one can touch GE Auto...great coverage. Inside deals for employees.
But if anyone has sled insurance suggestions, I'm all ears....going on the RX1 ride on Tug next week, and by these reports, you guys are all whacko. :twisted:

I just got a call from the dealership... ... $5086 for parts and labor to repair it!! OUCH!!!

I feel your pain as I have been in that situation a couple of times myself. Totalled 2 sleds both hitting trees. I now ride much more conservatively and ride with the attitude that I have nothing to prove by having to be the fastest sled. I love my RX1 and want to be able to enjoy it for years to come. I'm glad that you're all right but sorry to hear that the sled may be a total loss. I'ts much cheaper to replace a sled than hospital bills. Good Luck!

Dude, bid on a new RX on ebay and part yours out. Dealer wants $5800 to reapir. It will never be the same. Bet you can get at least $2500 for some parts. I seen new RX's on ebay for around $5800.

Welter, Glad to here you bailed out and your ok. I always say as long as no one gets hurt,sled can be replaced. If doing any testing always make a dry run so you will know were to shut down. Black RX-1 what kinda F***king nut case are you. The guy makes a mistake and could of got killed, and you start talking $hit (Later)

Glad to hear you are ok. I got the chills when reading your post because I have been in similar situations, its that split second feeling right when you realize you screwed and your heart feels like it is going to jump out of your chest. Thanks for the reminder, hope everything turns out ok.
