Finally was able to put on some miles this past weekend, was a high of -22 Celsius during the day & got down to -30 with a windchill of -38 at night. Stayed at a friends cabin, was worried the sleds would not start in the morning but to my surprise after me & a friend cycled the fuel 3 times both our Apex's fired up right away!! Two out of the seven sleds that would not start were 800 e-tecs! We could not even get them started by jumping them, had to put a tarp over them & use a propane heater to thaw them out before they finally fired up! Oh ya, these two strokes don't have a pull start option either, thought that was just a four stroke thing, lol!To make a long stories short, myself & my other buddy with the the Apex have the 20 series 320 cold cranking amp interstate batteries, HIGHLY recommend! !

I put this battery in my Attak last year & just swapped it into my new sled & put the new battery in the Attak. Don't have many details but I know Interstate has two different 20 series batteries, one is 200 & something cold cranking amps & the other one like mine is I believe 320 cca for only 4 or 5 bucks more! All you have to do is remove the foam that surrounds the battery & that will allow for the larger battery to fit perfect in the battery tray.Thats great to hear! One guy had a 2015 Polaris Assault which thankfully started as it didn't have a pull cord either, lol!

800 etecs only have electric start and they have problems with the starters too. My buddy's '13 with 2500 miles started acting up last year. By 3200 he had no choice but to shell out $600 for a new starter...then took out a piston which ruined the monoblock 100 miles later. Yea those 800 etecs are great lol.

What? $600 for a starter? That's nuts! Gotta love the Yammis starting and them just sitting there!
