Well I finally found some decent snow and headed out with the new 07 ApexGT with a couple 800 Rev's.I managed 12 klm and the sliders were almost fried. It was overheating...light kept comming on. I took it to the local dealer and he said I probably had a air lock in the line when my dealer installed the extra rear cooler (they didn't bleed it ). He recommended a 4th boggy wheel kit which I had installed to clear up the slider issue. My sliders were melted to the skid and to say the least I was not happy. My dealer would not pay for the new sliders... Neither of the Skidoo's had any problems with overheating or slider problems.
Next trip out ...the first time I needed reverse it would not engauge. It just grinded.....back to a different dealer this time(in Pickering) I am pleased so far with the staff and their knowledge base. They fixed the reverse issue and also noted that my original dealer (Blackstock) had not even set the new heavy duty spring for my rider weight. I specificly asked them to do this as I am not handy with sleds. All I can say is that I now am dealing with a more experienced and dedicated dealer.
The riding that I did manage was FANTASTIC! This sled really pulls. I have sore arms to prove it

A lot of bad dealers out there. Rare to find one that knows much about snowmobiles and if you do, stick with them.

the idler wheels on the 06' and 07' are bad, check them they will probably be delaminating soon. there's a few problems with these machine right from the start, first alot of them are coming with 100% anti-freeze which should be a 60/40 or 50/50, second is the idler wheels, i put on the ski-doo 503190802 wheels they are 135mm, the stock ones are 130mm to small and kill the hyfax, i also put on the slp anti-wear pads that go on the everthing 3rd window which is not open, this makes the track glide better, lastly which has been beaten to death is the handwarmers, other than that for $10,000 we have a awesome machine

Yes, it would be nice to find a good dealer who cares about the customer once you have completed your purchase. I picked it up tonight and while I was there he checked to see if it had been greased...well you guessed it...not a drop of grease in any of the grease fittings. It just pushed out water after as many as 14 pumps of grease in the one fitting before it started to show.Asselstines Yamaha no longer has me as a client. Motorsport Yamaha's mechanics are thorough and want your repeat business, which they now have.
The reverse gear showed considerable wear and they are replacing it under warranty.
Lets hope for a stress free ride this weekend.
