2014 LTX DX. Not flashed.

Since day one I have had an intermittent code 2300 alarm show up. Usually resulting from low speed riding, coming to a stop. Couple blips of the throttle and its gone. Hasn't really bothered me.

Mentioned it to the dealer a couple times. They were clueless.

Anways, this weekend its showed up a bunch of times. Same deal, riding slow when boondocking and would trip the code when idling.

Will a reflash fix this? I realize the new flash is for the warm start issue. Ive been hesitant to have it done for fear of them hosing it up.

Rant:
Had them change the chaincase fluid while in for the reverse recall. Had the chain tension set perfect at approximate 1.5 turns out at delivery. Whined a little bit but not much. Confirmed with the dealer the book was wrong and they assured me they knew what they were doing and were going to adjust it correctly. Not. Stupid thing whines like crazy again. Ticks me off that you cant trust a dealer to do something so simple.

And the fluid level in the window. I thought it was supposed to be halfway up the window when level. Mine is now about half of half of the window. Ie, 1/4 window. This ok?

Im going to go out on a limb and say ignition coil A is located on the far PTO side of the engine. Been experiencing code P2300 (Ignition coil A primary control circuit low) and finally decided to go after it.

After about 30 seconds of looking, I noticed the coil wire (the two wire control wire pack above the spark plug) was not clipped in all the way. . Started it up and it runs fine. A little disappointed with Yamaha over it (mentioned it when it was in the shop for a recall with no luck in identifying the problem on their end) but ultimatly happy to find it.

To check yours (if you were so inclined), pull the side panels and the hood (6 torx screws), pull the plug for the headlight and lift the hood. Take a flashlight and look for the electrical plugs directly above the spark plugs. Compare the positions of the plugs from one to the next. Obviously they should be the same.
