I've read several posts about this but haven't seen a definite answer. Can you put a 1.75" track on the new nytro?
I have my track off and I've cut off the front heat exchanger protectors. Do I have to remove the rear as well? Is it safe to run without the rear protectors? Will my track hit the exhaust.
Please help as I want to put this track on tomorrow night.
Thanks!!!

You have to do as you have done and modify your heat exchangers, but you are ALSO going to have to get new/smaller drivers in order to make it fit. It wont fit with the stock RTX drivers.
I have no tunnelprotectors on mine. Using a 1,75" track and 9t extros. As long as the track is not studded it will be fine.

I had to use 8 t drivers with a polaris 1.75 so I could leave to top protectors on

On my fx I removed ALL protectors and I also run the 1.75 track with 9 tooth extros and everything is just fine, no hitting of exhaust or anything else for that matter. Taking the protectors out also eliminates the snow buildup under the tunnel that gives the sled an extra twenty or more pounds.
