I might have an opportunity to buy sled that has a bad motor. It got partially submerged and the owner says that 'one piston's not moving' so I'm not sure how bad it is. It's an 05 Warrior with 4900kms (3100 miles), studded 121" track and I don't know what else but he says it was in good shape before the incident. He says that he's been offered $1000 so I'm assuming that anything over that would take it. My question is what can you expect to get out of a sled like that when you part it out? There's a few things that I want and I'm thinking that I could still break even or come out on top after taking the parts that I need. And I know that there will be a lot of work and headaches involved in selling everything so let's just assume my time is worth nothing- good summer project.

I have parted out a few sleds. If you have the time you will make money on them. It just takes a lot of research to see what used parts are actually bringing. That doesn't sound like a bad price to me.

Hell for $1000 I would buy it just to have spare parts for the sled I am driving now. What color is it?

Sorry about the double post. I need to quit using my dumb smartphone. One thing that I forgot to mention besides time, is an understanding wife!

Wars are 136. Maybe wrong hood on it or it has been wrecked and salvaged before. Motor sounds like it needs to be soaked in marvelmystery oil.

I have to go see this thing because the guy isn't very good at answering questions on e-mail. He did say 05 Warrior and he said 121" but he did not tell me if it had reverse and he didn't answer whether it was a mono suspension. It wouldn't be as exciting if it has a Proaction but probably still a good deal. I do like the idea of having spare parts for mine but want to at least make the investment back.

So if it's an 05 with a 121" track then it's an RX-1? Would it have Proaction or Mono?
