Well smashed the light bezel on the venture today. Can't find it in Royal dist and don't really wanta pay yammy twice the sled new price for factory. Any ideas where to get in canada?

The States is the best for Yammi parts. If you're near the border, order the part ahead of time at a Yammi dealer and pick it up sometime you are there. At the end of each season I compile an order and pick it up in the summer, do all my repairs in the fall, ready to go for winter. Prices usually about 50% or less in the States. Other than that, you will need to order thru your local dealer, and swallow the ridiculous price if you need parts immediately.

Nope .. you can order parts through many US sites ... I have used Boats.net a bunch of times for sled and boat parts .... prices are better than Cdn but depending on where you live you may have to wait slightly longer than order from local (Cdn) dealers.

You still have shipping and GST (no provincial tax) and small amount of duty - still ends up 25% less than Cdn prices .... still can't understand why this is so given that the Cdn $ has basically been at par with the US for past 2.5 to 3 years .... old excuses about currency exchange rates / old inventory at lower exchange rate / shipping / market size / etc. are all BS .... Cdn prices should be same as US - Yamaha Canada sucks in this regard!

If you order from USA ......"DON'T "get it shipped to Canada by UPS!!!!!!!!!!!they charge $VERY HIGH$ brokerage fees. You can guess how I know.

Holy smokes dude. With the lovely that owns sportland you dont go there :tg:

I bought my sled at Arnprior Sportland, but do not buy parts there. Most places that you order from the States have a minimum shipping fee, usually $40, ask them what they charge. Port Yamaha is a popular store. There are others. Then you get possibly hit with duty and HST, now 13% tax. Your parts order better be big to offset these costs and takes about 1-2 weeks with USPS. Don't order if they ship any other way.

No I'm down to just needing the headlight bezel now. Fixed the other stuff good enough (after all it's a sled) So guess I'll take it at the local dealer

For sure I go to Sportsland neighbour. They're good people. Bought two cats from them and tried to get the Venture but they didn't have a GT.

Just saying when you buy something in the states try to do USPS or you get hosed.
