who here pavement drags there apex? what kind of stock times do you pull? how are they for keeping cool? if running stock skid what did you do about slidders?

i had a 136 slick track givin to me. my father enlaw has a machine shop to make me some ski's. some friends race there doo's and have a fancy ran cooling system to hook to there sleds to cool after each run.

any advice on this would be awesome!

my stock mono skid will no fit after the limiter strap was tightened all up. that was while trying with the fox floats still on. i now have some shorter shocks. will that help enough to get the skid to bolt up or do i have to let some of the strap out and raise the sled?

I cant see where i can add more wheels to the skid. should i be alright with just the stock wheels?

What gears should i run in the 1/4? i was thinking 24/42 maybe 24/40 ?

is there any way to tell the temp of my sled? how how is it when the warming light comes on and should i not run it at all with my light on?

What kind of time should i expect? stock? 108 at 120 i think i heard some place.

Thanks in advance for any reply

Look for info in the Racing Forum, use "Asphalt" for keyword, all kinds of info there. Remove sliders from skid, get asphalt track and skiis, it would be a good idea to get quick couplers and some kind of cool down system. An old car rad with battery and bilge pump will do. Remove you thermostat for better coolant flow when cooling down. Overheating light comes on and the motor will shut down shortly after that to prevent overheating and damage. Hook up a water temp gauge to know where the temp is at. Hope this helps.
