I have dealt with Jeff numerous times, personally and through my shop and have never had a bad experience with him.

I've had nothing but the best from CPR on the RX-1 turbos. I ordered a apex kit just now from Jeff. The Warrior I had was just the trail boost kit that was supposed to make 195 HP. It ran more like 250 HP in the field, than the 195 HP that was specified! In fact, I know I was more impressed with that machine, than any other boosted unit that I've had since, including the 260 HP Attak I had last year. I imagine this efi system will be every bit as good or better. I'll report back as soon as we get out to ride. Never mind the dyno numbers, it's how good they perform in the field. If I we're to have believed all the numbers the 1000's were making and never raced against them with my little 800, just think how many ISR world drag racing championships I would have missed out on! God I love to be the underdog! Kind of reminds me of when I was racing my twin 700 Cat improver against all the triples and the pro-stockers, but I'll save those stories for another day. Mike , some people can only focus on HP #'s , I still see it racing the grass all the time . People assume because were running 4.30's with a Pro-stock 1000 on the grass at 625lbs that we must have 285hp , having the right power is what matters
to me and what gets the job done along with making sure everything is straight ,true etc !!
I'm sure Jeff's Package will be top notch and I couldnt care less what hp he claims , if it works I will probably buy one also .

our Simons CPR Apex turbo system is detuned to run with a stock engine at 195 hp on pump gas, it is conservative to say the least, Can you can raise the boost and still run it on pump gas ???,
you surely could since it uses a brand new garret ball bearing turbo that was just released, this new turbo has 280 hp capability and at an extremely high efficency rating, keeping intake temps lower when you do start turning up the boost,
:ORC but I'd perfer to stay conservative and not make you HAVE to go into the engine to lower the compression or have to use race gas, if you want to raise the power, its definetly HAS got the largest intercooler on the market to help you handle that extra boost heat, but we try to start you out really conservative and give you something you can always grow into when your ready for more, while keeping durability the focus of our CPR trail turbos.
It is what i consider the perfect trail turbo.
imagine giving the sled just enough throttle to make the sled move past its 3500 rpm engagement, and then slowly bringing it up to 5000 rpms which comes out at around 16 mph. the sled now has boost..., at 5000rpms and 16mphyou have boost!!!! you can throttle it from a dead stop and it instantlly boosts without any cough or hesitation, you can let off the throttle at speed and instantly mash it again and its right there, it also has the same low speed cruising caracteristics as the stock apex, and its quiter too. as for under hood heat, we designed a nice little heat vent that works very, it uses heat isolaters to hold the top of the vent off the surface of the plastic dash to keep the heat from transfering into the dash peice, and gets up to 228 degrees when run hard and then shut down while it allows the hot under hood temps to be released. the underhood air never gets unmanageable, and the inlet air filter is far foward from the turbos heat outlet allowing it to constantly grab cold air. the fit and finish speaks for itself, and i'm glad we waited to release it. there is nothing i would change.
i cant wait to hear mike knapp and allen ulmers reaction when they drive this kit.
its incredible. 4cops, thanks for your order as well, i think the test drive definetly sealed the deal.
we are taking orders now, and were looking at a 2 week lead time right now.....
need for speed 2, please call me when you get a chance, i don't know how i offended you, but i'd like to hear your issues and perhaps try and resolve them. as for dave from powderlites, i think he's a great guy and i have nothing bad to say about him.
as for our fuel controllers, the mapping is perfect,
we have teamed up with pure logic to produce our fuel controllers. and we want to give derrick a special thank you for producing a product that really gets the job done!!!! thanks to everyone for all the positive words, i appreciate it. jeff

Jeff,
What will this kit be capable of with l/c pistons and pump fuel? What other engine mods would a guy have to do to get the max. performance from this kit on pump fuel?

we already give you a kick #*$&@ fuel pump with the kit, and the more you want to lower the compresion, the more boost you can run on pump gas. the trail turbo is good to 280 hp, and where working on the 360 hp lake racer turbo kit right now, (it will be trail friendly for those looking for the next level) it will be released as soon as testing is completed. it will require some changes to the fuel system and lower compression pistons to get all 360 hp, but we have seen 310 hp on a stock rx-1 engine with straight c-16 race gas used for 1/4 mile blasts, and i believe we can push the stock apex engine to that hp level as well for 1/4 mile runs, but we'll let you know. jeff
