Has any one tried the PB 80 clutch on their Nytro. I have 2000 miles on mine with top end gains and smoother engagement and no rattling
Overall very happy with it.

A member that went by Mach9 did it a few years back and liked it. He had some good gains and found it easy to set up

This is good to read on this forum. I think if more people would weigh the cost of a rebuild for their stock clutch vs. buying a new PB80 (which had a 10% price reduction this year) more members would be running them.
They are so simple to calibrate, quiet and more efficient than the stock clutch you can't go wrong with one.

I'll be running one on my Nytro, but I need baseline RPM's before I do the swap. With this early spring I don't know I'll get a chance to run this -new to me- Nytro yet this year.

CVTech in Drummondville Quebec is the plant that actually mfg them, but they make them for commercial and automotive applications there as well.

All the recreational clutches run through the Thetford Mines plant where they re-plate cylinders and re-man crankshafts.
I run their US distribution center in Milwaukee, WI area. We don't take phone orders, that all goes through Canada and they email the orders down to us for distribution.

So you can contact them directly or go to any one of a number of dealers they have set up.

But we ship A LOT of their clutches, both ATV & Snowmobile.
They are OE on some Polaris models and VERY popular on the Ski-Doo 1200's, but they're a great option on the Genesis 4 strokes too.

All clutches do include extra weights, yes. But someone will need to experiment with springs until we hit the magic formula.
I know what it is for the 1200's, not sure on the Yamaha 4's though as I just bought my first one last week!

For the Ski-Doo 1200's in order to hit the higher RPM's you actually reduce weight from CVTech's stock calibration (8 or 9 weights instead of 10) and use a stiffer spring.
Stock for Doo is a 500/1100 Newton, personally I run a 600/1300 in mine, but a lot of guys use our 700/1300 & 800/1300.

For the Yami Nytro it already comes stock with a... 900/1300, WOW!
First time I looked at that, geez there's not much higher to go...only a 1000/1500.

Oh man I wish we had snow so I could slap one on and see what changes!

Lots of snow here, lol.
The dealer I work at just got setup with cvtech, I'm interested in it. Might be next season now though before I spend anymore money on the sled.

Would it come with enough weight to set it up for a full hindle, k&n filter, power commander setup?
There was a guy on here, Mach9 who tried the PB80 with full Hurricane kit, he said it worked well and I'm pretty sure he was able to get enough weight to set it up. Guys use it on the 1200 with the Hindle exhaust and it runs around 8900 if I'm not mistaken. ...so pretty close

We have plenty of weight available, these turbo slugs, p/n 1135-3003 are 54.5 grams by themselves, plus you can still add plenty of the standard weight discs behind them yet.
