If i install k and n's and a muffler is it neccesary to have some kind of PCV device or can it hold off another season?

Not required unless you're changing the header out along with K&N's and can.

The muffler does not require PCV however the K&N intake does. If you buy a PCV from Ulmer he will send it with the program for K&Ns and an aftermarket muffler, then it's just plug n' play. If you are not getting a fuel controller just hold off on the intake, muffler will be fine without one.

Hey Revster Alan Ulmer told me a PCV is not required as long as I don't change the header. A differant can, stock pipe and K&N's do not require one. That's from Alan himself.
His quote " You can run the intake kit with your muffler and still be fine yet" and that was a question I asked if I couild run a intake no PCV and a MBRP can on.

He must have been in a different mood when he sold me a PCV to go with my intake, with a specific program for the intake w/ aftermarket muffler. So the Dyno result that he has on his site.... with or without the programmer???

I never ran it with just a muffler or intake, but I did add the PCV after I did the header and my sled ran noticeably better. If you're not changing out the header I wouldn't worry about it.
