Ok so I have decided to keep my 03rx1 as the market is so crappy right now Im not going to take the kick in the shorts getting rid of it.

But if im going to have it i might as well make it eat most other sleds for a snack.

So if i was going to take a 121 rx-1 and mod it up a bit, what would be the order of things that you would do to it?

clutch kit?
ecp kit?
exhaust?

I know a turbo would make it scream but I dont have that kind of cash to play with here. :o|

Gimmie your opinions!!

Thanks
Chris

if your going to do any motor mods I would get a hold of dynoray on this forum I believe he is up to 200hp on pump fuel.

not for exhaust. get the ecp filter kit and matching clutch kit that will wake up the sled. it also changes the exhaust tone to the good. you can get the whole setup for around 750.00 no exhaust. thats what I did and WOW I LIKE.  ;)!

I did 4 TPI valves, Green Holtzman springs with 160 main jets.
OSO primary, Silver secondary with shims on my 04 Warrior.
It now runs with APEX GT, Mach Z, F7's
Much better performance than stock for about $150 :D ;)!

get alittle clutching and a little nos, all the rest are minimal gains here or there. nos is big bang everywhere, you said you wanted performance right!!! :D :nos :flag:

I left my '05 stock for the first season and this year I got the Supertune Kit (clutching and filters) from Matt. I'd recommend it if you want to wake your sled up. I would like to do a little more for next season and was considering exhaust as well. Could someone on here explain the TPI valves and timing key? I've seen them mentioned, but have no idea what they are.

Check on the RX-1 ECP forum for infromation on the timing key. I just slotted my ignition pickup ( alternative to buying a timing key) last week and will get to try it for the first time tomorrow.
