Talkt to my dealer today as I have been wanting to get a black aluminum rear bumper for my phazer mtx.. He said from what he could tell the black aluminum bumper had been discontinued.. Cna this really be true, I mean they are still producing the MTX so I would assume they would keep all accesories in production??

Can you buy the same bumper in another color and have it powdercoated?
FYI - It's common for accessory parts to be discontinued, and cost is almost always the reason. Just this year, I wanted to buy a Polaris luggage rack for my sled like this one
But whenever I tried to order one (either online or through a dealer) I was told they were unavailable and asked if I would be interested in something else instead. At Haydays this year, I asked a Polaris rep what gives and was told that Polaris and it vendor could not agree on cost, and that because Polaris already had published pricing this was creating problems for them ... not in so many words, but it wasn't hard to read between the lines.
Since then I've notice that Polaris has listed several items, including the luggage rack I wanted, as "out of stock". See Out of Stock items How can so much inventory be depleted so early in the season??? My guess is that most of these items are made through the same vendor, and that they will not be available at all this year ... too bad because they were nice products. I only wish Yamaha made something similar.
