phazer burned..up in flames

looks like the flex broke and then super heated the header cover -

well update on that yamaha wants me to send it to a dealer to have them look at it.. to see if it was a defective part..and after that we shall see what happens..to bad i have to pay the shipping bill
$300 oh well

sounds like yamaha is being reasonable asking you to get it to a dealer to take a look. i don't understand what your expectation was for the initial step to mitigation.

$300 to get it to a dealer is 1/10th of what a lawyer would have cost.

Just try to make sure they come good for the 300 bucks as well...fire is nothing to take lightly and Yamaha shouldn't either.

Give it up. Sorry about your sled, but this will get you no where, as you may have noticed the last couple YEARS.

I am sorry about your sled, really i am. but posting e-bay adds (wich i am sure you know are not allowd here) is not going to help you out. especially posting them one 2 different thrends at the same time.

Look guys what ever happend to standing by your product? And the thing is squeaky wheel gets the grease we all know that. I am just trying to spread word and try to build as much of a case as possible. I have had my phone ringing a ton from this stuff it is working.

I agree.... I ranted not too long ago about tie rod ends..... I know its not a burnt sled by no means. It can be frustrating. especially if there are payments involved. Etc. But let things take their course. You have insurance. (I hope) If someone is at fault, the insurance company will figure it out. Relax, have a drink and see what happens.

Am sorry for your loss. Sucks right in the middle of riding season. Take a close look and figure out the problem. It will work out. Always does.

biker_joe, check your PM's. I've edited and deleted 3 post's pf yours in the last 30 minutes. No Ebay links allowed!

Cannondale is right. I try to preach this at work, it's easy to point out the problems, impress me, show me how to solve the problems.
I get your point biker joe, and you can discuss it here as much as you'd like, but be cool about it, sounds like your ok but understandedly upset.

my brothers sled had same problem with exhaust and caught on fire but we got it out, but $2500 in parts to fix and it was all stock other than tunnel covers for icing up
