phazer fx whats considered broken in?? also a hard starter

I got 81 miles on my FX when is it considered broken in??? also anybody else a hard starter when cold???

Whos got a pipe ready for these?

As to the hard starting, have you tried turning the key to "On", waiting untill the fuel pump cycles off and then cranking the engine?

before cranking it over give a second or two and then turn the key, mine fires right up

donny break in, information can be found in the users manual.
IIRC its 300 or 500 miles... I don't have the book handy... so at 81 its not broken in.

EVERY MACHINE IVE BOUGHT WEATHER IT BE A SNOMOBILE FOURWHEELER OR DIRT BIKE THE DEALER SAID NOT TO GO BY THE USER MANUAL FOR BREAK IN. THEYVE TOLD ME TO JUST BE EASY ON IT FOR THE FIRST COUPLE TANKS AND THEN GEVER HELL

I've got a 150 miles on mine now and the older it gets the harder it is to start and yes I cylce the fuel pump first.

Try changing the plugs. Breakin tends to be bad for plugs.

I am also very dissapointed with the hard starting after the 2-3 second fuel pump time mine takes 9 to 15 seconds to start. This does not stand to reason with fuel injection but the dealer believes that it is acceptable. After it's warm it fires right up. I put on 98 miles last saturday on Tug Hill. It was alot of fun to ride......awsome machine 30-60 mph, I would prefer less engine breaking.....your thumb never rests unless you stop....this sled does not need brakes. Its did collect alot of snow, slush and ice on the rear part of the running boards, but I could not feel the weight while I was riding. My FX was to stiff out of the box with almost no transfer, max speed 82mph with a larger windshield. I always follow breakin and believe in synthetics, my 98 mxzx has over 11k miles on it with no rebuild and still has more life.
