Phazer maintenance

Went to the Yami dealer today and asked him about maintenance on the Phazer. He was back from the yamaha dealer meeting. He told me that valves adjustment was needed to be checked at the 20 000km mark, and oil change every 6000km filter every 12000km...Sounds like funny number for the oil change and filter but who knows. I also asked him if they talked about fuel economy on it and he answer me that it shoud do around 22 miles per gallon.

Hope he was right. If what he told me is all true its gonna be a great litlle machine. I give myself till mid march to see the new arctic-cat lineup (im still a cat guy...) just in case they come with something as hot as the phazer but I don`t think they will...Phazer is all I dreamed about for years (my cat dealer knows it..) and will make my 500$ deposit on a mountain lite.

Maintenance schedule

Sounds right on the mileage intervals, the 3 & 4 cyl. sled engines don't require a valve adjustment until 26K miles.

Hey ABC you are lucky the snow check program deposit on a Yamaha is only $300 according to my dealer. If you put down a deposit you get $400 in free clothes or parts and a free 3-year warranty. Seems like a great deal on top of all the trick stuff on the Phazer.

Here in canada Its 500$ deposit. And we have until march 2007 to start to pay + the 3 years warranty + 400$ yamabuck.

I was told no interest and no payments for one year, but march 07 would only give you 5-6 months before making payments. I assume one year from date of delivery would be correct right ? I was told the sled had to be picked up and payment arranged by end of October/06, so wouldn't one year be October/07 before payments would be needed ?
