Phazer mtn lite

Anyone close up the opening in the tunnel on their mtn lite.

I thought about doing it to mine but figured it only gets a few rides a year so I wait till later in the season. It's an 08' so it has all the plastic stuff on the sides, the build up isn't too bad but I think it would probably help keep it cooler, I think a lot of the snow never makes it to the heat exchanger because of the hole. Since I just put in the temp gauge I figure I'll get a baseline then cover and try. I think the 09's or 10's have the rear hole covered. Just make sure to remove the plastic side pieces as that will allow air flow to the muffler, otherwise your seat and plastic may get a bit warm.

Thanks, just bought it, but am getting tired of all of the snow dust all over the seat, and geting wet.

I closed mine off 1 or 2 seasons ago. No problems here.

I used some diamond plate aluminum from Tractor Supply. Only had to cut 1/4" off of one edge and she fit like a glove!

I also closed my mtn lite and I haven't had a problem yet.
