2009 pz mtx. After starting lets say idle for 3-5 minutes. Its tricky to get the engine up to 4000 rpm. After 4000 no problem. Its almoust like i have to pump the throttle. Its also a bit tricky to start below -10C. All advice is appreciated.

Have you checked your fuel pressure and fuel pump filter?

Should it not show when over 4000rpm? It runs fine there

It sounds like a fuel issue, but check your coils and there connections, check connections to fuel injectors, also make sure hoses on throttle bodies are connected. If you haven't replaced your plugs in a long time could be a bad plug. Let us know what you find.

Any luck yet? Have you tried some fuel injector cleaner? also was the gas in the tank fresh or last years?

Yeah. Seems like it was bad fuel. It was only on the first tank of fuel in this season. Works fine now.

Put the Yamaha Fuel Med RX in it during the riding season every once and a while and then the last ride of the year follow the instructions for storage. I haven't had an issue in 3500 miles and never drain my gas. Glad its all worked out.
