Talked to my tool and die maker and he said he could make up a couple out of some oil lite bronze but just not sure if that would be okay or not..

I think an Oillite bronze bushing would be just fine.

Someone has to have made some bushing rather than buying the hole sheave ..just not sure if oil lite brass would be okay to use or nott

It has to be something soft enough not to wear the shaft but its annoying that they aren't replacable from yamaha cuz it would be easy enough to push out and press new ones in.

I cant belive this hasnt been a problem before now this is my wifes sled withonly 2500 klms on it and clutches serviced every year since new

Okay went to my local dealer and the sheave is on back order tillthe middle of march so i found a used one but my question is do u lube the bushings and helix and buttons or do u leave it all dry....
thxs

i'd say you could lube them for the install but once everything is together, i'd brake clean all the lube off because it'd probably collect all the belt "dust".

maybe i'm thinking wrong though.

Leave it dry and polish the Helix.Normally those bushings last forever.Just the plastic buttons wear out.

There was some kind of lube or film on them when my sled was brand new very little though.

i just pulled my secondary apart on friday, helix and all the internals were covered in a sticky hard substance, prob a combination of belt dust and grease, cleaned it up, polised the helix, and removed the 2 shims between the two sheaves.. dont remove the to shims, sled will not go into reverse and wants to creep. putting the shims back in today. but cleaning it up was easy and well worth it..
