HAS ANYONE HAD PROBLEM WITH PHAZER NOT STARTING? IT WON'T EVEN ENGAGE JUST CLICKS . WON'T ROLL OVER ENGINE. WAS RIDING IT THEN STOP FOR BREAK JUST WON'T START AGAIN ! :rocks:

Can you turn the engine by rotating the primary clutch? One guy here in norway experienced exactly what you are telling and the engine reduction gear tranny was brocken and also dammaged the engine. He got a new engine on warranty.

But you might just gone out of battery power or a bad start engine though I havent read post on issues like this.

THE ENGINE WOULD START EARLIER WITH ROPE ON THE PRIMARY , BUT TO COLD NOW TO START THAT WAY.

THE POWER IS GETTING TO THE START , IT WON'T EVEN CRACK OVER WITH JUMPER CABLES ON IT SO THE STARTER MUST HAVE TOOK A DUMP . I TALKED TO DEALER THEY SAID IT SOUNDS LIKE THE STARTER IS BAD . JUST ONE MORE PROBLEM THAT YAMAHA IS HAVING WITH THE PHAZERS, YA!!

OK, so one starter goes on your sled, and all of a sudden it is a pandemic. You most also sit inside and worry about the bird flu!!!

Come on, I get so tirted of every little thing being the biggest issue. Buy a new REV XP next year, and see how that goes for ya.

Just my 2 cents.

Hahaha you are crazy man :) lol

WE'LL YOU MUST HAVE GOT A GOOD ONE . THE PHAZER KEEPS OVER HEATING ,ENGINE BOLTS FALLING OUT, AND HAVE SHOCK PROBLEMS, BAD VALVEN IN THE REAR SHOCKS , ICE BUILT UP THE RUNNER BOARDS. BUT MAYBE THERE IS JUST ONE BAD ONE. NOT LIKELY !!

All problems that can be resolved through Yamaha or with a little locktite and elbow grease. To me I expected issues with a first year sled on a new chassis, with a new engine and a completely new suspension and design, but... I wanted to be the first one to try it and the price was right for a brand new H.O. 500cc 4 stroke.

However, I have resolved all of the aforementioned issues with the help of people from this forum.

Its too bad your having a starter issue, I have heard of one other sled that did that. Hes on this forum too in one of the threads. But.... I think you will find that MORE PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO HELP YOU IF YOU DONT KEEP YELLING AT THEM.

no kidding, enough YELLING!! :tg:

I had the same problem a few weeks ago!

I think it's more like a key switch issue! It did happen when it was cold and doing some powder!

What I did when it was happening was to turn the key slowly and at a precise spot the starter would come alive and start the engine!

But it went away now!
