Has anyone installed the phazer tunnel panels from yamaha, and how do they work. I'm getting very bad ice build up just like everyone else and was wondering if those panels did anything. I was also wondering if anyone has tried the handbar bags or the windshield bag with a lowered speedo please let me know I need somewhere to store something.

I have a better idea. Get a $10 sheet of aluminum and cover up the hole. It works!! I just did it. Others have already, with hundreds of miles and no problems and no ice build-up....
But those with panels say they work at keep the ice off the running boards yes.

I installed the Phazer tunnel panels and am happy with them. They definetly reduce the exterior ice buildup on the tunnel, by a large %.
There is very minial ice around the exhaust area because it gets so hot, and the majority of the ice buildup that as on the exterior is now gone.
As this part is made by Yamaha and doesnt affect my warranty I would say its worth it. I would hate for the dealer to blame a cracked exhaust on a closed tunnel pannel or something if they were looking. I have 3 year warrant yand would like to take advantage of it, so I would recommend this part if you don't like the ice buildup on the outside and dont want to risk you warranty with a complete closure.
