I bought my son a 2007 phazer, and we started it up last night, and the yellow warning light with the triangle with the exclamation mark came on. now we are low on gas, would that be a warning light for that......when i turned the sled off and started it again, the light went out, but then came back on after riding for 5 minutes.....
am i missing something simple...
thanks

The yellow light will come on if you are low on gas.
There should be a little picture of the gas pump on the display too I think.

Yes the yellow light is just the warning beacon to get your attention. It's the sled way of saying look at your display for further information.
If you are low on gas, the light will come on, and the fuel display will be the screen. This is also the case for other errors. Put some gas in and both with go away.
My experience has been that this light comes on when we reach the last bar. Does the last bar flash when you lower yet? Or do we go from last bar to dead in the water? I dont' ever try to run that low, but since carrying extra fuel in my tunnel bottle, I have run it much lower.
Good luck!

should have a fuel pump icon on the gauge too.
biff, i had the same ?. a moderator answered that it doesn't blink. not to worry though, when i refueled when my light was on, i still had 2 gal. left in my tank.

ya, the last time mine went to low fuel too, I had a gallon left in the tank. Better to warn early than not at all.
It is very comforting to have that extra 883ml in the MSR fuel bottle now though.
I just ran into that this past weekend. We were bustin' ditches for quite some time and not watching the fuel at all. Since the groomers had not been out, we were running everything but the trail. Sure enough, light goes on, fuel beacon comes on. Oops, time to head home. Dump in the bottle and tame it down a bit.
It's easy to ignore the beacon surfing fresh ditches.
