going down the trail 160 miles from home my phazer started popping out of drive and making a grinding noise. wonderin if anyone else has had this problem?

For some reason something tells me you might want to take apart the chain case. Broken gear? Chain too loose? Broken chain tensioner?
i think it mite be before that in the electronic reverse

i'd inspect the secondary, see if the spring is broke. or check the chain case out. just pull the dipstick & see if there is metal for starters. if not hopefully, check the chain tension. long bolt on right side as your looking at it.
I think i mite have broke a gear in the reverse box it jumps out of D while driving and there is alot of grinding noise
