Here is part of the ad from the sled i bought.
"2007 Yamaha apex rtx with a Simmons CPR front mount turbo kit. Has headshim, MSD stutter box / launch control. Sled has ad bovine expert X rear suspension. Runs on pump gas on low boost. Runs on 118 on high boost. Snowmobile is capable of three hundred and ninety horsepower"
Sled has under 2k miles ad has been turboed for aprox 600 miles. Found out also has nos hookup and was used for drags. Took it for a rip across the grass and oh my god this thing is a raped ape. It is a 121" right now with a 3/4" track on it. The reverse was taken off of it because the person blew the chain clear off from high horsepower drags so the person put on a forward only chain case. My plans with it are to turn it into a powder sled by extending the track to a 144" and putting a 1.5" track on it. Also I will be putting on extrovert drivers on for the ratcheting that could happen and going to try to re-install the reverse chain case if the person can find it and mail it to me. Traveled 10 hours round trip to pick up this sled. Was it worth the $4200 USD i paid for it?

That's what i was thinking, so what if it costed me my bank account. I now have a 10 grand sled waiting for the snow to take a dump.
Anyone know how much of a pain this is going to be putting on the old reverse chain case? Also will the forward chain case chain work with the reverse one? I presume it would

I have done a bunch it is only the outer cover with the forks in it and putting the reverse gear in it how much of the original gear set is there you may only need the case if you have the levers and gears in the box.

Would there happen to be a write up for removing the forward chain case and putting on a reverse chain chain case. I will also most likely have to buy a used lever to put in. The sled used to be a high horse power drag sled running 20 psi and 100 shot nos.

If you can't find a chaincase anywhere else I have one sitting in a box in the corner of the garage, I have kept it as a spare but it is just wasted space. It was pulled off of an RX1 with 2800 miles. Same case as an apex.

I will have to see what the past owner sends me. He is sending me extrovert drivers and maybe the old reverse chain case (if he can find it) Otherwise i know where to look! Pictures soon to come!
