If it is the OEM track, the track is old. It will not last long with Picks. You might be better off looking for a new track with studs pre-installed (e.g. Ice Tech, etc.)
The OEM tracks only last about 6,000 miles or about 4 years. Then, they start throwing lugs and the clips wear out. Occasionally you find someone who got another year. But you seldom find someone with more than 6K miles. Also, a lot of the new tracks are single ply. They just do not hold picks of the size you would need very well. But, ... you still find folks that swear by putting in picks in them. So, ... have at it if you must!

wow glad i read this i was planning on ordering 162 studs for my warrior but it is the original track with 2800 miles would i be better off waiting until the summer and get a predrilled track and studs?

yes, you'd definitely be better off waiting till you could get a new track in there. You might as well go through the skid too and check the hyfax and wheel bearings. At 3200mi my bearings were shot.
