pilot skis on an apex,whats it take to install?

i've got precision skis set up for my apex,and a buddy of mine said i could try his pilots off his renegade this weekend.do they use the same bushing and rubber as the precisions

I think I've heard you take the bushings and flip them around to the inside

You have to turn at least one of the bushings around and insert if from the outside for the Yamaha spindle to fit in the ski properly. I turned both around (the bushings are mounted in the skis from the inside out) because I felt the skis didn’t match up real well with only one bushing turned around. I installed stainless steel washers in between the spindle and the ski to protect the plastic. I also trimmed the rear of the rubber bumpers so the back of the ski didnt get pushed down so far.

I had the dealer do mine and it worked just fine

Flip the bushings around.
