2011 NYTRO
for those of you who have them what do you think?? i have them on my 09 vector ltxgt and i love them for groomed trail riding. my new 2011 nytro will be here next week and i all ready know the skis suck!! same skis as my vector. i will be doing mostly groomed trail riding and some ditch banging . the track will receive some studding as soon as i figure out how many. :4STroke:

they should work good on the nytro, ive heard easier steering, better bite

I had 5.7 pilots on my Nytro, was terrible in soft snow............bad, pushed way bad no matter how much ski pressure you had on them. My bud has a 2011 XTX with the 6.9 pilots, seem to work well, he loves them.

Both track well and have low effort, just get the 6.9's and you should be ok.

I have a set of 6.9 pilots with 6" center and 4" outside shaper bars and rubbers if interested. Worked well on my XTX.

Have 6.9 pilots on my '09 XTX. They work great. Easier steering, great flotation in deep snow. Very little darting. 6" carbide in the center, 4" on the outside.

i have the 6.9's with 6 in the center and 4 in the outer on my vector. those are sweet on that sled. sounds like i can expect the same on my new nytro. if we only had snow. :4STroke:

Ok i am ready for lighter steering and looking for skis would 6.9's be to much for the RTX? I am ski doo dumb looks like some pilot skis have single carbide and I know we are talking about dual carbide. What years have the good skis???

I just did a pilot DS swap before i went out to michagan this weekend and i can tell you they are amazaing...the DS is the deep snoe ski off the freeride and summit series and are single carbide skis....i ran a 6" woodys bar and never once pushed through a corner

I had 6.9's on my XTX, still have them on the Vector, but I swapped them out for the Yamaha MTX ski on my Nytro last year. I think the MTX ski is a much better all around ski than the 6.9. I found the pilots pushed a bit in the corners, where the MTX's hold better and float as good if not better off trail.

How is the steering effort with these skis on the trail.

I have my sled set up with very little weight on the skis so steering effort is very light. If the trails are hard/icy I find these skis very aggressive, but that could be because of the stud boy deuce carbides. I am very happy with the MTX skis.

I just put 6.9's on my xtx and I couldn't believe the difference. The Stock skis dive in powder where the 6.9's stay up on top. I have 6 inch shapers in the middle and 4 inch woodys on the outside. I used to get inside ski lift all the time but now the machine is much more planted with very little ski lift and no darting. The pilots do push in powder is the only thing I noticed about them but the benefits of these skis on a Nytro is HUGE. With 6 inch shapers the steering effort is still light and it is a much better machine now. I debated a long time about buying these skis and am very glad I did.
