Has anyone plasti-diped the side panels--or any panels--on their sled? I want to change the gray panels on my Sidewinder to black and am wondering if this method would work?

My buddy did all the panels on his Viper in black, it was a red/white LTX that now looks like a steal bomber. That stuff is way more durable than I would have ever guessed. It was on 1300 miles last season with no nicks or chips, so this will be season 2 with the dip job and it still looks good.

Keep in mind that Plasti-Dip will be a matte finish, I dipped one of my windshields black and then used the Glossifier and it makes it somewhat shiny, but will orange peel quite a bit. The Plasti-dip by itself dries smoother than you would expect and looks very nice and is very durable, providing you're ok with a matte finish - which I tend to like a lot.

That looks great! The black and orange combo looks really mean and clean.
It looks like your sick day on Monday paid off.
Is that a new Storm 150 track I see mounted up on your sled?

Yup, masked off the stickers and gave it 3 coats of Plasti-dip. I actually bought some plastic dye from a company named Parasol to dye the panels. I dipped first to make sure I liked it, that way i can peel it off and dye it if i want.
That is the new Storm 150. That track looks better in person !!! i cant wait to get that thing on the snow..

Beerman, did your friend plasti-dip the tunnel as well? Or is the tunnel black from the factory?
