I was out this weekend. Very warm conditions. Stopped to help my girlfriend turn her SRX around. Started my RX up idled ok. As soon as I started to hit engagement RPM it died. Did it twice. Very hard to start back up. Once it fired I let it idle for a minute or two and was fine the rest of the day. I'm thinking

1 TORS??
2 to warm and over fueling????
OR
any other ideas?????

Any help please. :rocks:

Do you have the shut off on the coollant to the carbs installed?

If not, that would be the first logical step. Did it restart easily and then die or was it hard to start and then die? Was this fuel fresh (<30 days)?

Doesn't sound like TORS to me.

No shut off for the coolant. It was easy to start the first time idled and then approaching engagement it would die. The second time it was much much harder to start then approach engagement it would die.

Did you use any choke on the 2nd start? Mine will do the same if I have to choke it on a semi-warmed up engine.

Sounds like the fuel in the carbs got hot/boiled due to the warm temps and then got a mini "vaporlock".

I would add the shutoff for the carb coolant.
