Well, I thought my Apex would only need an oil change and grease before hitting the trail. Upon inspection, I found both set screws were missing from the left drive axle bearing. In addition, I ended up yanking the skid and replacing every single bearing in the rear end as all bearings were dry and scratchy after only two seasons. I do not repack roller ball bearings. I toss them. They're cheap and too easy to replace.
While wrenching my way in to check Exup cable adjustment, I discovered that I forgot to tighten the two gas tank retaining nuts AND reconnect the gas tank vent line the last time I was in there 2 yrs ago! No other explanation than head in my arss!
We all work too hard, drive too far and wait too long to enjoy the one sport that trumps all others, IMO. So please take the time and look for the obvious. It's easy to get in a hurry and overlook the machine we safely trust to haul us 100 mph through the woods!
Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas!

Lol I still have rivets to replace on the 2011 tunnel but all the rest is good as I did check it all. It was one of 7 sleds I have pre seasoned so far and still have at least 3 to go not counting project sleds.
First ride out I lost my gas cap. Can't fix stupid.
