I don't do anything other than start it every month or so. Everything I've ever put stabil in ran like crap afterwards, I wouldn't put that junk in anything anymore. Store the sled with less than half a tank and then I just add some fresh gas in the fall and everythings good to go. I take the carbs apart every year anyways just to be sure but they've never needed cleaning, always spotless.
I wouldn't even bother starting it except for I like to rotate which valve springs are sitting compressed for the whole summer, and to get a little fresh oil on everything.

I have never used stabile since the '90s. It might resist gumming but it does not keep the butane in the gasoline from vaporizing out. This si what allows easy starting when the motor is cool.
I add 1qt of 100 LL Av-Gas since I work at a refinery I can get it easily, then I run my sleds every week (I store them at my house) and add fresh 91 octane fuel to keep the fuel fresh and octane up.

Some people swear by using Sea Foam and starting the sled once a month during the off-season.
Ive always drained the gas out of my sleds and fogged the motor. Ive never really had problems with getting my sled started in the fall. I always leave the spark plugs finger tight and either crank the sled over a few times for 5 seconds each time or give it 10 pulls with the recoil starter (obviously not the case on a Yamaha 4-stroke). Then, I tighten the plugs and it usually fires right up with a few pulls (or a few seconds of cranking).
Im not a believer in Sta-bil. I tried it in my lawn mower one year and the next spring it took about 20 pulls to get it running again. I now drain the gas and run it untill its completely out of fuel and in the spring it takes no more than 3 pulls to get it running again. Some people swear by Sta-bil, but Im not a firm believer in it.

Stabilizer in fuel, start it once a month or so, no trouble for a lot of years.

The first year, I ran the sled every 2-3 weeks and had idle problems in the fall. I had ti blow the lines out with compressed air to clean the carbs so it would idle right. The last 2 seasons I drained the carbs and pulled the battery and used a battery tender to keep the battery conditioned. It does take a while to start in the fall. Still on the O.E battery.

End of season I add Seafoam to whatever gas is left and run it for a bit, charge Batt. and cover. In the fall I uncover top off tank with fresh gas with a shot of Seafoam, charge Batt. and if it doesn't fire right away I pressurize the tank, if still struggling a shot of starting fluid always seems to get the juices flowing.

I drain most of the gas put stabile and change my oil so there is clean fresh uncontaminated oil in my crank, I put the sled on jack stands to keep all pressure off my spings and shocks and run the sled every 3-4 weeks rev it up after reaching a decent temp to get a good spray thru my jets to keep the cleaned out this is easy since the sled is always off the ground always touching the running boards to make sure its not getting too hot also. I usually run it about 5-7 min I'd say. Always starts right away too by the way then I start off the season with some premium gas in my 1st tank and that was yesterday on the grass when some of us boys got together for some grass dragging!!
Was very pleased with my little tripple beating that Warrior in the 500' drag
