Hey guys, we have had a couple real warm days in the high 30's and low 40's in the past week or so that has turned our trails to garbage. I tried riding last nite at 34 degrees and today at about 22 degrees and got the temp light on 4 times in about 60 miles. The snow is hard a s a rock and what is loose is like little balls of ice. All three times I pulled off trail and found a rock hard snowbank to spin in a couple times and the light goes off. The sleds I ride with aren't having heating problems like I am, I think the Nytro is in need of some more cooling. Has anyone tried running watter wetter or a similar product in their Nytro's with any success?? I ran it in my 03 REV when I put on the beavertail delete kit and never had heating issues with that. I am also noticing a slight hesistation when I wack the throttle that wasn't there before, wondering if that is due to the poor snow conditions and increased operating temps??? Is the overheating issue I am expiriencing normal for the Nytro compared to what others have found?? Still a little worried since the damn dealer over filled my oil and it started running out of my bellypan
, paranoid I guess. It sucks riding in crappy conditions and isn't good for the machine I know but winter is short and I want to make the most of it when it's here, sucks that I seem to be the only one in my group that is having issues and mine is one of the newest machines. Any ideas appreciated.

Scratchers are great, used them on the MTX and life was good. First thing to do is check your coolant. Mix it to at least 60/40 but no more than 50/50. This will help year round. Do you run studs, if not that doesn't help break up the hard pack. I had the same issues as you describe a few years back with my Apex, changed the coolant and no more issues.
