I was riding in the U.P. this weekend and my temp. light came on. I know blah blah blah over heating post again, but this is what i found out. I have a 08 and never had a over heating issue till this past weekend. Left out riding one morning and my temp light came on 10 mins into the ride. Got thinking I never chipped out all the ice from under the tunnel as I ussually do in the morning befor the days ride. I looked under the tunnel and my thinking was right, ice was blocking off the tunnel completely so no snow could reach the heat exchanger. Chipped it out and fired my sled up and problem solved. I,m posting this because I've seen alot of guys on here saying there over heating even when all they do is POW ride, this could be why. I put 700+ miles on this weekend and that was the only time the light came on. Made sure I chipped the ice out after that ever morning LOL!!! Just something to look at if your light ever comes on.

I try to knock loose the snow/slush buildup in the tunnel when I park the sled, so much easier than when she's frozen solid. Knock the sides of the tunnel with my fist and pick up and slam down the rear bumper, run the track in reverse on a track stand and that clears out most of it.
