Hey everyone, i'm getting an ERR 1, coolant temp warning light, diagnosis warning indicator light, low coolant temp indicator light and warning light all on at the same time and the sled dies. wait 2 minutes and the sled will fire back up and go for a bit then it happens again. Right before the sled dies its like the throttle sticks a bit as the idle hangs high enough to keep the sled creeping along. I now know that the err 1 code means no communication between the ecu and gage pod. I have checked all the connections and the known spots that the harness rubs and bares wires to no avail. I have also put a new battery in the sled as well as i have found a few different posts saying that a bad battery has been one cause of the err 1 code. Could it possibly be my ECU that is causing the issue? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Well it took me a few days but I finally found the issue. 2 spots where the harness rubbed through and was shorting out. First spot I found was behind the rad bracket on the clutch side and the second spot was right underneath where the steering post bolts to the upper frame loop above the gas tank. Had the sled out this weekend and it runs unbelievable. I can finally enjoy the power the 1150 mill has to offer.

Hate to be the bearer Slowey but it's actually a 1049 cc mill

Haha, yeah that what I meant to put in there. Just pumped that the thing runs good. Had it out in 2 feet of untouched powder and I am really impressed with its ability to get up on the snow and leave everyone else in the snow dust. I have the 1.75" back country with a tooth dropped on the top gear. Still won't pull full rpm but I will play with the clutching and get that taken care of.

You might also want to check a notorious area where the main bundle goes around the block and delta box. It's right behind the primary and rubs on a casting nub. I took a large zip tie and pulled it away for about an inch clearance.

That was the first place i checked. the previous owner had already removed the nub and tied the harness back for extra measures. thanks canoehead
