Ok i guess i am going to tear the rear skid apart on the 2011 nytro but before i do, you all know that these yamahas have a problem with snow and ice building up in the rear suspention, so is it worth it to have my rails powder coated ? does it help with the keeping the snow and ice off? and who should i send them to? i live in ohio

I am not sure if powder coating will help with snow build up or not but it should look real nice. lol. A trick that I heard about and works real well for me is to spray pam under neath your sled ounce and a while. I do it a couple times a year and just spray everything down with it.

Power coated rails look nice for about half a season until the finish gets pitted from trail grit.
its under the tunnel near the exhaust that it builds up. Get a block off plate to help that.

does anyone else have the problem with the paint flaking off the a-arms? Im thinking due to stubble fields but cats and doos paint is still holing at 5000kms when mine is at 2000 and looks like there is no paint left barely. Quality of paint at factory?
