For anyone that had their A-arms and spindles powdercoated, did you have to remove the pressed in bushings and if you did how did you get them out? Thanks Bob

Anybody have pics of the completed product? I am considering doing my A-arms and spindles matte black...

Here's the link to my thread last year on my A-Arms. Didn't do the spindles, but you can see how badly rusted the arms were beforehand. Not a blemish on them this summer and definitely the way to go.

Did you have to blank off the areas that the bushings press into? I mean, usually you have to block the "interface" areas off where bushings press into & bolts pass through to ensure that critical dimensions are maintained after powedercoating.
Some good shops will do it for you, just wondering what you did.

I pointed out all the areas that needed to be protected to the owner of the shop who did it and he taped them off. Bushings went back in no problem.

Thanks for the responses. I tapped out all the bushings with no problems. They were easier than they looked

Yep just use a 1/2" solid rod and tap them out from th inside, they come right out.
The reason you have to remove them is because when the powdercoating is baking it will melt the plastic.
