I have a 2007 APEX RTX that I replaced the handguards with PowerMadd Star Handguards, extensions, and a mirror kit. Have any of you used their new gaunlets that go over the handguards?

gauntlets

i got the same ones, they fit over everything, it has been to warm out to use them yet. they seem to be perfict for us!

Answered you on HCS. They do a good job if you need to have additional protection from the cold.

I have a pair of the PowerMadd gauntlets. I used them on my 06 Nytro with the Yamaha handguards and they worked very well. I don't need them with my Apex GT now. Let me know if looking to get a set.

I also have a set I used last winter with the updated bars.I also have the mirrors on my hand gaurds too.To use the gauntlets I just took a seam ripper and took out enough stiching to get the gauntlets on.That way you have warm hands and still can use your mirrors.

If you are interested I have a pair will sell for $30 including shipping. They do work great. However I don't have hand guards, so they kind of flop around until hands are inserted. I have also added aluminum wire inside the seam on the open end like the Katahdins, so you can shape opening to suit your style. These are new this year. There are 2 small holes burnt thru at the necked down end to allow my handle bar mirrors to be mounted. These don't affect the performance or looks. Can provide pics if interested.

I have the gauntlets you are talking about (i think some people who replied might be talking about the floppy ear style). 1st when I got them they looked huge and I thought these things were gonna look like a couple of mailboxes attached to my hadlebars but after installing them I really liked them, I also had the handle bar accessory bag that zips on in place of the little foam piece in the center of the handle bars. Together they looked good and people thought it looked good. They are easy to use because they are stiff so you can easily get your hands in and out and they keep you warm. They are very easy to put on/off. I dont use them all the time but I'll never go to Canada with out them. I used them in very cold temps like 0 F and only had the warmers on half power at the most. I took the center bag off cause it blocked the tach and speedometer.

If you look at the first part of his reply he was not using hand gaurds so that would be why they flopped around.I really like mine carry them in the front of the sled.
