I just bought a set of the chrome Powermadd handguards for my GT, and my dealer told me that I had to use the universal mount kit. I thought I heard about an Apex specific mounting kit. I put this one on, but I had to turn my throttle lever down a little bit, and run the mount kit on th ethrottle side upside down. I don't have the package in front of me right now, but I'll post the part number when I'm at my office tomorrow. It works without problems, but I don't think I have the right one, and it doesn't cover all the way to the end of the bar. It leaves the far outside inch or so exposed.

Pretty shure there are Apex specific mounts for the hand guards. I think Rich was advertising them a few months back.

I used the universal mounts on my Attak and they worked fine. Only problem I had is when I went to a med height shield they would hit it. I like the mid shield and have removed my hand guards. But back to your question, yes the universal mounts work just fine.
