i have a set of ski doo skis with the brackets and everything. they are off from a new ski doo. i would like to put them on my rage. i checked into the ski doo kit for yamaha's but they want $140 for it. what was everybody that used these on rx1's doing to make them fit? do they just fit on or do they need new bushings or shims. thanks

I was able to make them work by reversing bushings and using washers. I can't remember all the details, it was a couple of years ago. I loved them.

I originally tried to get the thinner bushings from the universal kit but was not able to get even a part #after going to 4 doo dealers. I ended up having them machined down. Have them machined to .05 in. You can also modifiy your Yamaha ski handles to fit as well.

Why would u want to put those crap ski doo skis on, dont you wonder why ski doo has new pilot skis out, id stick a pair on simons skis or c a pro skis on that rage.

Skidoo has new skis out because they've been issues a COURT ORDER to cease production on "precision" due to a patent held by Simmons.

precision skis are too narrow and too rigid. They also trap snow and ice on their tops. They are definitely an improvement over stock skis though.

Last year I went over to Doo talk and asked the guys their opinion on the precision ski's and was very surprised when over 80% of the people responding stated they didn't like them because of the push in corners. I went with Simmons and was really impressed. They didn't push (had 6 inch carbides) and the flotation was great ;)!
