I don't know if this has been answered more in depth here, so forgive me if it has.

Im looking at getting a turbo/supercharger for my Rx1 or Apex

In the long run what do you guys think is a better option?

How much am i looking at for initial kit cost

Cost of gas..ie, how much more gas are you guys using compared to stock, what is your mileage like on it etc.

And any other misc charges incurred?

Thanks

Can't speak for a blower sled, but most trail turbos as a recent comparison get as good a gas mileage or better than the new stock 2 strokes still.
Unless your WFO all the time. HP takes fuel...

depends if you get a frount mount, mid mount, or rear mount. all of them use the stock tank except the cpr mid mount kit. New gas tank holds roughly around 8 gallons, this is what i have on my apex and i think i can get a good 100 miles out of it

RX1/Apex kits

There is only 1 front mount turbo, made by lightening pro, its mounted ahead of the engine where the carbs go, stock tank. Then there is the boondocker side mount, right side, stock tank. Then the mid mount, like it says middle of the sled, alpine, cpr, powderlites, new plastic tank, mounted to left of center, but still in the middle. MCX 1st kits left of center with an alu tank. They also built a few kits where the turbo sits in the under the steering hoop, buddy had one. Then mcx, bender rear mounts with stock tank. They all have there little problems, but sure is fun with boost.

Sorry forgot about the mpi supercharger, it mounts ahead of the engine more to the right side, then there is a supercharger kit being built in idaho, forgot the name, but dont think there for sale yet. And northeast used to build a turbo kit very similar to cpr/alpine/powderlite where the turbo lived, think powderlite made his header, and the tank was alu, not sure if there still making kits.

I believe synergy makes a mid as well, and if it is like their phazer kit it is a whole new aluminum tank. I never was able to find a price.

Then there is the MCX midmount race kit :)

The Apex kits are approx $7500, they come with a Mountain Mod seat as well, air filter, boost gauge, A/F, and a fuel tank. You can Call Jeff at Quantum Velocity Performance at 403-341-4012. he is the Synergy dealer. His e-mail is quantumvelocity@live.ca
