Has anyone tried running the new setup (for DPYR 62 gr. weights) by John from Proline with 4.5gr rivit in tip and inner hole empty? I know for a while the recommended setup has been 2.4gr inner and .85gr or 2.4gr in tips. What difference have you noticed mid range and top end in comparison to the original setup?

how did it work for you? i have my kit in and it sure is building heat compared to the heelclickers in the belt

Thats the first I've heard of this. Are you pretty sure about that change BADSLED? If thats the case I would like to hear anyones results also.

Yes, I received that setup form John at Proline. Just wanted some feedback.

When I was running that kit my weights were 67 grams on my scale. But I only had my secondary set at 6and 2 twist. Belt was a little warmer than I wanted it. The kit worked good and still had top end also.

It was building way too much heat for me! Heat=belt slippage, absolutely need to add weight for my setup. Hopefully, will get a chance to play with it this weekend. I will leave the 2.4gr in inner hole with 4.5gr.in tip, shooting for 10,700rpm.

mine was hitting close to 11000 rpm. i just changed out my track to a 1.25ripper. i will see if rpm change any. it looks like i have to run tip weight over what i have to. i just got my dragn flies in the mail today . i think i will just try them. i really was hoping this proline kit would work. i really like grabbin hold of my belt with the 2 speeds. you could run 20 back to back pulls and it would only be warm to the touch. with this proline i canr hardly touch the belt its so hot

those are some big #*$&@ rivets(4.5g).....are those like the big suckers in stock weights?....

Im still running my setup of 2.4 mid and 2.4 tip....where i rev nicely hitting at 10,600 then creeping closer to 10,900...im still not to 11,000 but then again my motor is fresh again this season(now with 1500 miles so far this season) and also we have kept getting snow so i havent had any areas to really let her go....to see if she will creep to 11.

also,im now running the pc3 and ignition module so,i now want to aim alittle higher(11-11,100)......so I might remove some tip weight.

keep me posted,id like to hear where you rev with just one big #*$&@ 4.5g rivet in tip only.

just a thought here....Johns new kits now come with the new adjustable DPYRs dont they????

I wonder if he is talking about the setup in the new weights???...

Dan

He is refering to the rivit style weights

I just pulled ALL my tip weight out,so my tip is EMPTY,trying to get her to rev 11,000......might just be conditions but im still not there even with it empty...and just the 2.4 middle.
