I will be running a quality TIAL BOV so I don't see how it would create a pressure spike during the throttle release. I want to be able to tune the whole map range vac and boost. I think for now I will try to tee it into the two existing map sensors so it should see vac and boost. If it doesn't work I can easily tig it on to the chargepipe/intercooler.
It doesnt seem to be a problem but the vacum should be pretty instant behind the throttlebodies and the BOV probably doesnt drain the pressure to zero in a instant. its just my theory im no Turbo expert.

I run about 6-7 Psi at sealevel with our 98 octane about the same as your 91 octane with no IC so you should be safe.

did a bit more work to the sled, got the engine mounted in it and fitted the plastic.
two options for the steering. one is to run it similar to my first setup and use the pro intermediate linkage.
second option is to run the post at a more severe angle to the side and eliminate the intermediate linkage. the 600 race chassis are set up this way.
I think I may go with the second option. easier to build and should be less weight.

running boards coming along
out in the snow!!!
as it sits the chassis is 27lbs
I started on the cooler today as I have pretty much had it with welding the 4130. the running board tubes were a huge pita.
I got this heat exchanger material and I am wondering how much how big of a exchanger I need to make. I will not be running a bulkhead exchanger, this will be the only heat exchanger on the sled. it is about 36" each pass with 4 passes. so a total of 144" of exchanger material. I have to build a end tank on each end of the exchangers and its proving to be a fairly tedious job.
my alum welding isn't the greatest, but should work.
Will I need to run the thermostat? I am going to be making a expansion tank for the coolant but would like to get rid of the thermostat housing to shed some weight. I guess with no thermostat I wouldn't need a bypass loop either? what if the heat exchanger is too efficient and with no thermostat the returning coolant is too cold??

Wow looks really good that frame!
Also like to know if a de-thermostat will make it run to cold.
Where did you get the heat exchanger material?

I'm currently thinking about upgrading my skid plate, adding a roll over valve on my Nytro & doing the work myself, the thought alone makes me feel like such a man!!!! Then I see stuff like this......
Pretty awesome! Can't wait to see the final results!
